This is a sculpture project exploring the poetics of futility and the absurd. Each pair of gloves has ten fingers, but no combination has the expected five fingers per hand. Instead each is either nine and one, eight and two, seven and three, or six and four. They are designed after the yellow chore glove I grew up using and are made with flannel and canvas. The gloves are mounted on cast plaster hands, which are bolted to a wood shelf.
